Winners include Wagner’s Lohengrin/Semyon Bychkov for both Disc of the year and Opera Disc, pianist Murray Parahia’s recording of Beethoven Sonatas for the instrumental Award and a second Chamber Award win for The Jerusalem Quartet’s recording of Haydn’s String Quartets…

The audience also enjoyed live performances from the charismatic violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, who claimed the Orchestral Award for her Beethoven violin concerto with the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées (Naive), while the wonderful Elias Quartet demonstrated why they won the Newcomeers Award.
